2011 United Electric Board Elections
Any member residing in Districts 3 & 6 was eligible to run for election to
the Board of Directors from those districts in 2011.
Being that there were no
petitions from members to be placed on the ballot in District 6, the
incumbent director, Timothy Burkett, was without opposition and was
therefore reelected in District 6, in accordance with the cooperative
bylaws.
In District 3, there were
two candidates on the ballot: incumbent director, Richard (Pete) Petrosky,
and challenger, Henry Daugherty.
Mail-in ballots were sent to all members of District 3 with postage
paid return envelops directing them to a special post office box
accessible only by the Judge of elections,
Patrick Lavelle. The ballots were counted
by tellers: Robert Cline from Clearfield (District 7), David Moore from
Marienville (District 1), and Victor Lundberg from Falls Creek (District
5). Mr. Lavelle certified that the results of the balloting in District 3
showed Richard Petrosky was reelected to serve the members of District 3
on the Board of Directors.
